I can’t stand the cold weather any longer, but it seems that the winter is never leaving this year. Although i would love the idea of starting wearing lighter outfits, that ain’t happening soon!

Because there isn’t any other option than facing the low temperatures, I wanted to show you this outfit and give you a little bit of inspiration on how to keep yourselves warm but still look cool these last winter days, when we start wondering where our cool outfit ideas are gone. 

It consists of a really thick pair of checked trousers, a high neck black jumper and a super warm camel wool coat. Really easy basic pieces that look great together and I am sure most of you already have in your wardrobe.

No puedo aguantar más ya el frío, la nieve, la lluvia y los días grises, pero parece que el invierno no está dispuesto a irse este año. Aunque me encantaría la idea de empezar a ponerme conjuntos más ligeros y frescos parece que eso no va a ocurrir aún…

Como que no nos queda otra alternativa que enfrentarnos a las bajas temperaturas, quería enseñaros este outfit y daros algo de inspiración a las que queréis manteneros calentitas sin perder el estilo en estos últimos días de frío, en que ya hemos perdido todo el humor y las ideas de conjuntos guays que teníamos al empezar el invierno. 

Consiste en unos pantalones bien gruesos con un estampado de cuadros, un jersey negro de cuello alto y un abrigo de lana en color camel. Se trata de prendas básicas y sencillas pero que quedan muy bien juntas y que estoy segura que la mayoría tendréis en vuestro armario.

Lately I have been going through hard times, I’ve had several problems in my work life that have made me quit my job and start questioning how I am living and how I want to live my life from this point on. During our childhood we are told that we have to go to school, then attend University, get a degree and a Masters and finally get our dream job. I have never agreed with this socially accepted and universally functional path, however, I have strictly followed each of its steps. Unfortunately, the result is that I find myself at 24, with the angst of finding out that the job that I have been pursuing for years doesn’t make me happy; and also having to deal with the uncertainty of not knowing what to do with my future.

Therefore, I want to use this post as a way of relieving my thoughts and stresses and as a hope for those of you who are going through a similar situation, or those of you who are younger and have to decide your future and feel lost as to where to go. You are not alone.  

I feel that we are never fully content with our life, which is good, because it is what makes us wake up every day and work towards a better future. Especially, it does not matter at what age we start wondering what we are doing with our lives and what we want to do, and start working to achieve that goal. Life is short and we should put all our will power to be happier.

It’s been years without dedicating my blog the time that I would like, but because it brings me many moments of joy and happiness I want to take this post as a starting point, to retake this part of my life and put into it the time and dedication that it deserves, simply because it makes me HAPPY.

I also wanted to mention, that from now on, I would like to start talking a little bit more about fashion, since it has been an inspiration lately. I have realised that when I’m feeling down, I can get up my spirits by wearing something that I like, because it makes me feel confident that my situation will get better soon.

Do not forget to do everyday something that makes you happy.

Últimamente no he pasado por mis mejores momentos, un cúmulo de problemas en mi entorno de trabajo me han llevado a dejarlo y a replantearme cómo quiero vivir mi vida. Desde pequeños se nos enseña que tenemos que ir al colegio, luego al instituto, sacar la selectividad, estudiar una carrera universitaria, un máster y finalmente conseguir el trabajo de nuestros sueños. Nunca me ha parecido demasiado bien este camino preestablecido que la sociedad nos marca que tenemos que seguir, aunque realmente he ido siguiendo a rajatabla todos y cada uno de los pasos que acabo de mencionar. 

¿Cuál es el resultado? Me encuentro ahora con 24 años y con una incertidumbre y una angustia muy grandes, porque me he dado cuenta de que el punto culminante de todo lo que llevo forjando a lo largo de muchos años no me llena, no me gusta y no es lo que quiero hacer a lo largo de mi vida, sencillamente porque no es algo que me hace feliz. 

Por lo tanto, quiero usar este post como una herramienta de desahogo, pero también como un espacio de esperanza para los que os encontráis en la misma situación, o estáis decidiendo qué queréis hacer y no sabéis hacia dónde tirar. No estáis solos.

Creo que nunca llegamos a estar satisfechos al 100% con nuestras vidas, y es eso lo que nos hace seguir adelante, la posibilidad de conseguir estar mejor. Y especialmente, no importa a qué edad nos replanteemos qué estamos haciendo con nuestras vidas, y todo el recorrido que llevemos detrás, lo importante es que nos demos cuenta a tiempo, porque la vida es corta y merece la pena poner todo nuestro empeño en buscar y conseguir ser felices.

Llevo prácticamente años sin dedicarle al blog el tiempo que me gustaría, pero puesto que realmente es algo que me trae momentos de alegría y felicidad, quiero tomarme este post como un punto de partida para recomenzar y volver a dedicarle el tiempo que necesita, sencillamente porque me hace feliz.

También quiero comentaros que, de ahora en adelante, me gustaría centrarme un poco más en la moda porque es algo que me ha inspirado mucho recientemente, y me he dado cuenta de que realmente en los momentos de bajón me es útil vestirme con cosas que me gustan y me inspiran, ya que me hacen sentir mejor, más segura de mí misma, y me traen la convicción de que seguramente las cosas empezarán a ir mejor muy pronto.

No os olvidéis de hacer cada día algo que os haga felices.

It’s been a long while since I last wrote a fashion related post and; honestly, I was missing it. That’s why today I wanted to go back to it and talk to you about ruffles and frills; which, as you probably know, are a must of this spring-summer season. Ruffled and frilled pieces are exciting as they can revamp your closet, but they can also be tricky pieces to style.

I fall for trends really easily and this one has been no exception. In the last few weeks I have bought shirts, tops, jackets, and even trousers (please someone stop me!) with ruffles on them. Here are my two cents on how to style them. I hope I can give you some inspiration and ideas so you can start wearing the coolest pieces this summer!

Hola a todos! Espero que estéis genial!

Hacía muchísimo tiempo que no subía un post relacionado con moda, y la verdad es que ya empezaba a echarlo de menos. Es por esto que hoy me he decidido a hablaros sobre los volantes, seguro que ya sabéis que son un must de esta temporada primavera-verano. Las prendas con volantes pueden molar un montón y darle un toque diferente y atrevido a un outfit, pero en algunos casos puede ser difícil encontrar algo que combine con ellas.   

Yo suelo caer siempre en todos los trends de temporada y este no ha sido ninguna excepción. En las últimas semanas he comprado blusas, tops, chaquetas e incluso pantalones con volantes (¡por favor, que alguien me pare!). Aquí os dejo algunos de los conjuntos que se me han ocurrido, espero que os sirva de inspiración y os dé alguna idea para combinar las vuestras. 

The trousers / Los pantalones:

A few weeks ago I bought this pair of trousers in Zara, because they were pink and ruffled I felt excited to kill two birds with one stone by covering two trends of this season in one item. Trying to style them was complicated. I didn’t want to fall in the typical white or black t-shirt; or wear them with a sophisticated top, because I knew it would look too dressed up to wear daily. With those premises I started looking for a floral printed shirt in my wardrobe, tried this one and voilà. I think it looks great, although I should start looking for sleeveless shirts with a similar look if I don’t want to die from a heatstroke during summer in Barcelona.

Hace unas semanas compré estos pantalones de Zara. Puesto que eran de color rosa y tenían volantes sentí que mataba dos pájaros de un tiro al comprarlos, ya que tienen dos de los trends imprescindibles de esta temporada. Al combinarlos, no quería caer en la típica camiseta negra o blanca, ni tampoco añadirle un top muy sofisticado, porque sabía que quedaría demasiado arreglado como para llevarlo cada día. Es por eso que estuve buscando blusas con estampado floral por mi armario, encontré esta y voilà! Me da la sensación de que queda genial, aunque debería empezar a buscar alguna blusa estampada de tirantes que se parezca, porque si no moriré de un golpe de calor en el verano de Barcelona.  

I may have had this blouse from Zara for a few months now, and I have worn it a lot already. Mostly with a pair of black jeans to go to work, which is the first option that I show you. However, I think this blouse has a lot of other options; you can dress it up by adding a pair of brightly colored palazzo pants, as shown in the second picture.

Another idea that comes to mind is combining it with navy gingham trousers (another seasonal trend), I bought a pair just yesterday and I think it should look really cool!    

Creo que compré esta blusa de Zara hace por lo menos dos o tres meses y la he llevado un montón desde entonces. Sobre todo me la suelo poner con pantalones vaqueros para ir a trabajar, que es la primera opción que os enseño. Sin embargo, creo que tiene infinidad de opciones; por ejemplo, puede quedar genial con unos pantalones palazzo de color rosa, creando un look muchísimo más elegante, como os enseño en la segunda foto.

Otra idea que se me ocurre es combinarla con pantalones de cuadrito vichy en azul marino y blanco, que son otro imprescindible de la temporada y puede quedar perfecto.

This nude pink jacket is the perfect option to layer and keep you warm during the chiller mornings and nights. I have worn it a few times already and there hasn’t been one day that I have worn it that I haven’t got a compliment! Everyone seems to love it, and it is honestly the easiest to style, just throw it on top of any outfit and it will work its magic!

Esta chaqueta en tono nude-rosa es la opción perfecta para taparte durante las mañanas y las noches de primavera, que siguen siendo fresquitas. Ya la he llevado unas cuantas veces, y realmente no hay día en que me la ponga y alguien no me diga lo mona que es. Parece que le encanta a todo el mundo y sinceramente, es la prenda más fácil de combinar que existe. Sólo hay que ponerla encima de cualquier conjunto y queda perfecta!

Hi lovelies! Today I wanted to share with you my latest shoe acquisition. I have been on the hunt for a spring / autumn appropriate shoe for a while and it was only a few days ago when I found these beauties. I have always loved oxford shoes and for the past year or so they have been everywhere, so I had to give in. They look beautiful (yes, it was love at first sight) and also have a nice platform, great for my 5 feet 3 inches height.

I have already worn them and they are incredibly comfortable, not heavy at all and their leather is really soft. They are from Un Paso Mas, a shoe brand that is taking Spain by storm lately. You should check out their website, they have the coolest designs, great quality and their prices are pretty acceptable. They also deliver to most European countries, although you may have to pay the delivery fees.

¡Hola a todos! Hoy quería compartir con vosotros mi última adquisición en el área de la zapatería. He estado buscando un zapato de entretiempo que me sea útil tanto en primavera como en otoño durante bastante tiempo pero fue hace sólo unos días cuando di con este par de bellezas. Siempre me han gustado los zapatos de estilo Oxford y la verdad es que durante el último año han sido de los más llevados, así que no pude resistirme. Son preciosos (sí, fue amor a primera vista) y además tienen plataforma, algo que viene muy bien a mi altura de 1.60 cm.

Ya he podido llevarlos y la verdad es que son comodísimos, nada pesados y la piel es súper suave y blanda. Son de Un Paso Más, probablemente ya conoceréis la marca, sino pasaros por su página web, tienen unos diseños geniales, la calidad es bastante buena y los precios no están nada mal.

Hi lovelies! Warm temperatures have finally arrived to Barcelona and, of course, I could not resist myself and had to go shopping. Today I will share with you the summery cropped tops that I bought. I will also leave links below to purchase them if you fancy, so that we can all do some damage to our bank accounts together (yay!)

¡Hola a todos! Las cálidas temperaturas han llegado finalmente a Barcelona así que no he podido resistirme y he tenido que ir de compras. Hoy quería compartir con vosotros los cropped tops veraniegos que he comprado en una de estas salidas derrochadoras. También os dejaré los links en las fotos para que podáis comprar cualquiera de ellos en caso de que os gusten, así podemos gastarnos el dinero todas juntas (yay!)  

Crochet top: I see myself using this top the most out of the three; it is so easy to throw on with a pair of shorts and look effortlessly cool. It is a very casual piece to use every day and show off your tan during the hot summer days (I. CAN’T. WAIT.).  

Top Crochet: es el top más ponible de los tres que os enseño; súper fácil de llevar con un par de shorts vaqueros. Es una pieza súper informal y perfecta para fardar de moreno en los días más calurosos del verano.

The black and white top has a more sophisticated vibe; by pairing it with black jeans you could get a more day appropriate look whereas paired with a black skirt you could get a dress effect perfect for the evening or night.

Este top en blanco y negro tiene un toque bastante más sofisticado. Combinado con unos vaqueros o pantalones de color negro puede dar un look bastante informal pero también se puede conseguir un efecto vestido si se combina con una falda, aportando más seriedad al conjunto.  

Last but not least the flower embroidered top! Ah I love this one! Its innovative pattern and flattering shape make of it a unique piece! It looks so chic and elegant and can also be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. You can combine it with a pair of shorts to get an original look for the morning and afternoon or pair it with formal pants, flared trousers or skirts to get a more sophisticated outfit.

Por ultimo pero no por ello menos importante (en lo más mínimo) este top de encaje en flores. Ah, ¡Me encanta! Un diseño súper original y una forma súper elegante hacen que este top sea único. Tiene un toque súper chic y elegante pero puede también llevarse de forma súper informal; por ejemplo, combinado con unos vaqueros. Ahora, si quieres sacarle todo el partido que puede dar, combínalo con unos pantalones más formales, palazzo o una falda y tendrás un outfit súper sofisticado.
