FASHION TRENDS: LACE

 How to wear lace underwear

Hi Everyone! I am quite excited today as I am starting a new series in the blog under the name of fashion trends, where I will be reviewing a fashionable item that I have recently bought, showing you how I would style it and leaving links for you to purchase it if you fancy. In this case I would like to go through the lace underwear trend and tell you my opinion about it.

The amount of lace that we have been seeing lately in most of the underwear items is overwhelming, and although I used to avoid it when I was younger, now it has become one of my favourite trends. I find bras or bralettes the easiest to wear, and they jazz up any outfit when they can be seen through or under clothes.

My biggest recommendation would be to show parts of them in a suggestive but chic and elegant manner; for example, show the lace strap of the bra through your sleeveless t-shirt or slouchy sweater, the back of the bra while wearing backless blouses, let the bra lacing details peak through the neck line of your shirt or let the whole bra be seen through semi-transparent items.

I bought these two lace bras a while ago, and I was a little bit skeptical about them being comfortable to wear on an everyday basis; however, I haven’t used anything else since I bought them. They are as comfortable as any other bra and although I think that the whole point of this trend is integrating the lace detailing into your outfit, you can also wear them without anyone noticing. They are also perfect to complete a night party outfit, a put together dinner look, or even a festival look when worn on their own.

These two lace bras are from a Spanish brand called Oysho. I am pretty sure they ship worldwide from their on-line store, so if you like them you can head over to their webpage purchase them. You can buy the black lace bra here; the white one has already been discontinued but you can find a similar one  here, and some more recommendations here and here.

Much love,
Ana x

Ana
